From Sxip.org
To exchange identity data using the SXIP 2.0 protocol, a website can either act as a Membersite, a Homesite, an Authoritative site, or a combination of any of the three. Developer packages are currently available for adding Membersite and Homesite functionality to websites.
The software is licensed under a permissive Open Source license that allows the software to be used in both open and proprietary applications without licensing fees.

Membersite Development Kits
Membersite Development Kits (MDKs) contain libraries and tools that enable developers to add SXIP 2.0 functionality to an existing website. Documentation is included with each kit, as is sample code for integrating SXIP into web applications.
Perl MDK
The Perl MDK contains libraries and tools that make it easier to integrate the SXIP protocol into Perl-based web applications.
